Default El Paso to Laughlin

Making the ride in a couple weeks. Gonna probably head through Tucson and then cut north. Any info would be appreciated, the farthest west I've ridden is Silver City. Also what are the best hotels in Laughlin as far as having secure parking for bikes?

the edgewater has covered parking and a designated motorcycle parking area. i would think a bike would be safe anywhere in laughlin. rooms are cheap and they have cheap table games. the casinos are all run down and not much going on.
go up thru kingman and over hoover dam---the new bridge is open. stay in vegas.

I would ride out to Las Cruces then take I-25 north to Socorro, NM. From there head west on US60 all the way to Show Low and onto US260 to Camp Verde. From there you have the option of continuing west to Prescott on 89A and up 89 towards Williams and Seligman both on I-40. I did this ride in 2008 from Roswell, NM to Laughlin and all the way to Victorville, CA. It was awesome scenery and low traffic until hitting I-40. As far as Laughlin, the nicest hotel there is Harrah's. It has covered parking as well as the Edgewater. I've left my bike a few times outside at the Colorado Belle with no problems.

If you go this way, I'd suggest taking AZ-87 N in Payson and ride through Strawberry and Pine to Clint's Well, at Clint's Well take Lake Mary Rd (NF Rd 3) to Flagstaff. At Flagstaff you can catch I-40 W to Kingman, at Kingman take 93 towards Vegas for a short distance and then AZ-68 W which will take you to Laughlin.
