Planning on going to Biketoberfest in Daytona this fall.

The plan is to leave from Clayton/Raleigh area on Tuesday October 16th and stopping over somewhere in Georgia and getting in Daytona on Wednesday October 17th.

Stay in Daytona until Sunday October 21st and then leave to go toward Key West, Fl.
Stop somewhere between Daytona and Key West on that Sunday 21st and arrive in Key West on the next day Monday October 22nd and staying until Thursday morning October 25th.

Then heading back up toward NC after that maybe stopping over in Georgia or South Carolina.

Wife and I were there for a week 2 weeks ago. As stated earlier spend at least a night on Broadway, the bars are all good. The trip down to Jack Daniels for their tour is also worth the trip. A lot of civil war history in the area if you're in to that.
We rented an Ultra Classic for a day from Boswells and put on about 400 miles in 8 hours. The route below is something I got from someone here on the forum and was really cool. After we did the route below we took hwy 96 all the way east to the Natchez Trace parkway and rode that for a while. It was all good. Someone in an earlier post said the riding in the area is not great. That is a matter of perspective. For someone from flat land Minnesota, I thought Tennessee was fantastic.
I've got more with pics on a post titled: rent and ride in Nashville, that was updated yesterday or earlier today.

I'm sure you will get a lot of responses to this but Nashville has some great rides, incredible rides. I personally love going east and heading toward a little town called Dowelltown, then north to Laurel Hill on 96, east to Cherry Hill then South to Buckner thru the lake. Frigging awesome. Lots of twisties, beautifull scenery, just amazing. Have fun

All depends on how much of the Nashville area you want to see.

Taking the freeway down is a full day of travel...taking backroads is 2 days at least. That gives you less time in town. Plan accordingly by what you want to take in while there.

Very true - ate there last year and road the Trace into Mississippi before heading to Barbers Motorcycle museum in Birmingham, Alabama.
.
All bars on lower Broadway have music - get a hotel within walking distance as there has to .be 20 to 30 bars/music in the lower Broadway area. Liking sweet young lady country singers makes the eye candy a feast as well?
.
Have fun.

When you're out doing the Nachez Trace ride, I'd recommend that you plan to get off at Leipers Fork and go to Pucketts for a hamburger, and sweat potato fries. You never know who you'll see there.
