Austin to Sturgis.
Hey me and a couple of friends are going to the Rally in Sturgis this year. We will be headed up from Austin TX. We decided to take the longer route and go up through Colorado and Wyoming hoping for some better riding. We have planned for three days of traveling and plan to tent camp all the way there and during the rally. This will be our first major trip any advice. Thanks

Hook up with Steve Farson here on the forum. He knows all the best roads in Colorado. You can also buy his book "the Colorado Book". Best you can find for motorcycling in Colorado. I think his forum name is sfarson.

I have done from Wichita, KS to Colorado to Beartooth and back down to sturgis.. And then another to sturgis but taking slower roads like trail ridge road that go through Colorado.. All camping usually the KOA grounds are all nice!
Good choice on Colorado.. There is nothing between Oklahoma, Kansas, Nebraska and most of South Dakota!

Juststrokeit...yeah..going up from TX thru OK, KS, NE and south of Sturgis..Coming back will go thru SD, WY, CO (Rocky Mountain Park, GOlden, Breckenridge, ROyal Gorge Bridge, Nm (Rotan Pass) and back into TX..
