h58 on the UP near Grand Maria (sp?), incredible road--like out of a magazine..nice town with small hotel and brewery options. enjoy!

Harley Hawk - we took the Badger across the lake a few years ago and really enjoyed it. It's slow and vintage and we had a great time. Spend a few extra bucks and get a private stateroom so that you can freshen up and perhaps catch a nap.

Well I just got back , thanks for all the tips ... 1540 miles in 99 hours on a softail ..

I don't remember all the roads I took, but I probaly only logged 50 miles on the freeway, ( trying to go around Chicago ) and the rest were all single lane highways

We did stay on hwy 31, and the "blue star hwy "

lots of fun

I stopped on the Sand Dunes in Michigan city too

I know I'm a little late to the party here but hwy119 aka the tunnel of trees is a MUST!!! I took that ride last year around the lake. Was a great ride. I had also traveled 22 north of the sleeping bear dunes and stopped in Omena at a place called "Knot just a bar". Sit out on the balcony over looking Omena bay. Just awesome.
