Stay off the 4 lane highways up through the US and depending where you cross over into Canada you have a good series of two lane roads that will give you some great views of some country side, rivers and lakes. Since you think 3 days s enough I have a feeling that you will be taking mostly 4 lane roads. Just to give you and idea of timeframes....its a good 7 hours from Boston to Ottawa

when you go thru mtl, go west down the 40 than take the cutoff towards ottawa, 2 km down take the exit for the ferry to hudson, get on the ferry and cross,(they run every 15 minutes) as soon as you get off the ferry, the first stop sign turn left, go all the way down that road, approx 10 kms (hwy 344) until it joins hwy 327 north, take that all the way to Mont tremblant, its an awesome ride, about 2 hours through the winding mountains, really amazing. Enjoy!

I can get to Montreal in less then 6hrs from Massachusetts...I'll leave Thr after work and be in Canada that night...The gives me Fri and Sat in Canada and Sunday to come home through VT.....I ride the super slab highways to get there and then enjoy my time back until I get tired and jump back on the highway.... I've done that way a long time now, it just works for me..
