Well, I have no rain gear.... but might have to go get some on the way up there. This will be 2nd trip up there, but my first time going 2 up.
Light rain doesn't scare me off a bit, but the last long road trip (Ft. Worth to San Diego) stranded me 200 miles from home on the last leg with tornados in front of me and golfball sized hail popping me in the head. I had to spend the night in a post office lobby.... so I was a bit apprehensive when I hear "scattered storms throughout the state".
I'm getting off work in an hour, hoping for 6 hours sleep, then headed northwest on the overloaded Ultra.
Have fun. We just got back a week ago and got sprinkled on a few times and rained on hard for 15 minutes. Get up in the mornings and enjoy till 2ish for sure. Beautiful country and you will not be dissappointed. Take lots of pics and let us know how it went
