Any one going to the Smokey Mountain Rumble in Franklin, NC 16-18Aug? Their website is lacking a lot of detail but as the 1st Event, they are most likely learning under fire the trials and tribulations of event planning. My helmet off to those folks, with only 2 weeks to go, I'm sure they are not sleeping much.

Wife and I are leaving NW NJ on Tuesday the 14th, for a leisurely ride down 11/15 to 340 to the BRP. BRP until Cherokee and then into Franklin. We like to be there for the inaugural kick off party on Thursday night. Should be a good time and if not, as long as there are gas stations, restaurants and hotels - it's all good.

 

I love riding in the Smokie Mountains - all raods are good roads.
