Road trip over, what a ride!
Well my little road trip is over. We changed a few things about it but all for good reason. We never made it into West Virginia but had a great time! We left home, north ms, on tues morning and rode to the iron horse in robbinsville nc. We stayed there for the night and met some really great people. Then wed morning we took the moonshiner 28 hwy up to the dragons tail. Larry the cable guy was filming the show "made in america" on the dragon. Pretty cool! We finished up in pigeon forge for the night. Awesome day!!! Thurs we rode over the mountain to cherokee and over to maggie valley. The wheels through time museum was pretty cool too. I'm still drooling. Ha ha. We stated in cherokee that night. Fri we headed out to Asheville and made a stop at the Harley shop, then went on to hickory nc. We stayed with the in laws and my wife and daughter came up for my daughters birthday. We left out sun morning and rode 560 miles home. We didn't get 1 drop of rain until we headed home. It was an awesome trip!!!
It also inspired my to do my first 1000 miles in 24 hr ride! Planning it out now.

I did the area last October and looking forward to making a detour there on my way to Florida for the winter to do a few days.
