there was an article in one of the HOG mags year or so ago about this guy riding the train along with his bike from Florida up to virgina, then rode the bike home. I checked the cost and train tickets and the bike are outrageous.......
Unfortunate that the train is available only from outside DC to Sanford, FL route and reverse.
Train is actually used by many northern folks during Daytona bike week in March and Daytona Octoberfest.

Just another option in my opinion similar to a planned fly and ride (with a rental), fly and ship(truck bike), pull trailer to a starting point and then ride or maybe those that realize while on vacation that the Harley dealer or Eagle rider offers a rental..sometimes a twist and go scooter rental can be a blast in the right location...options are cool, sometimes they cost $$ but they are cool.
