There is alot of great riding to be done once you get out here to Vegas. The money saved in gas could be used for a nice rental. There are so many places you can go to from here its not even funny. Save the gambling for when you get to the Mirage. LA is 3hrs. away, Lake Meade route to the Valley of Fire or Hoover Dam, Mt. Charleston, 93 up the Apex, North on the 15 into St. George. If you take your chances w/weather and never get here. Then you will be missing out on some great riding. If you do, be careful and ride safe.

You're best bet is to get down to Interstate 10 somewhere in TX, then follow that to Phoenix. That will keep you from the higher passes. Adds miles but at the time of year you're heading out it can be nice one day, 2 ft of snow the next, besides the wind. Best of luck on your journey.
