Just a thought but even when you are the safest driver out there, being on a bike is more hazardous then a modern multi air bag car. And being two up makes it even more so. My last rode trip few weeks ago ended up in a crash. There were 4 of us and the 3rd bike back came thru a 20 mph curve and simple let up on the gas, got too near the edge and went down. She had to have been doing 20 since myself and the next two up biker had just gone thru at 20. Spent rest of the day in the emergency room. She has less then 4K in the saddle but hast been to the VA cycle school. I personally think everyone should drive single if able and of course wants too. Just how much more unsafe is two up anyway?

Lots of accidents here in NYC also. Two deaths in a week.

Lots of distracted driving going on. Not only motorcycle crashes, but auto on auto crashes.

June is also when a lot of HS graduates get a car for graduation present. Inexperienced driver, talking on a cell phone with other teens in the car is a recipe for disaster.

2009 was the worst in Staten Island

We had about 10 mc deaths.
