vegas to kingman??

I know it's getting off the original suggestion, but I started this thread (see link below) about my ride through Lake Mead and into Valley of Fire. No video, just lots of pics. This is probably one of my favorite rides and my suggestion for anyone that only has a one day rental when in Vegas.

Videos were amazing, cheers for thatI now have the harley for another day so i can do zion, valley of fire area on the second day.
Also i have looked at our route again and im going to try and do vegas to hoover dam, stop for few pics, then down i93 to kingman, stop for a bite to eat and look around plus into motheroad HD for some t shirts!
, then out to hackberry general store for a look and more pics....then if time is ok back to kingman and ride down to oatman for quick stop and more pics! lol, then towards bullhead city and back to vegas via i95.?? This will be more of a round trip with different routes.Hopefully i can do it in one day as the softail doesnt need to be back until next morning so not a problem if i get back to vegas later. Plus our friends are coming with us but in a car so if the missus gets a sore butt she can have time out in the car

Any opinions on this route is welcome, cheers guys.
Check the store hours for Mother Road HD, I think they are closed on Sunday.Zion and Valley of Fire can be done in a day. I would probably take the Highway to Zion (with a stop at the Zion Dealership). On the way back you could do Valley of Fire and return via North Shore Road around Lake Mead.

Valley of Fire is a State Park and Lake Mead is a National Park so you will have two separate entrance fees.
Something like this:
It's a total of 814 miles, which is a big chunk for two days, but you'd see some of the best that area has to offer.
Riding through the tunnel in Zion and back to Vegas via Valley of Fire is going to be in the neighborhood of 400 miles. Vegas to Hackberry to Oatman and back is around 314 miles. For another 100 miles you get to see Glen Canyon Dam (Lake Powell) and the Grand Canyon. You'd also get to ride quite a bit more of Route 66. Especially since you've got a way for your wife to get off the bike if she gets weary, I'm pretty sure that's what I'd do.
land slide and has a diversion called 89T (temporary). It should be no problem, but might add a couple miles
and a little time to that route.
Also refuel often as most people have no idea what the word "deserted" means until they start traveling
through the Southwest. If you have that chase car following you, toss in a two gallon can of gas just in case.
Whatever you decide to do will be just fine and you'll have a blast..
FWIW, I'd do Atticus' proposed route. You'll be a little saddle weary, but you'll have really seen some of the
very best that area has to offer..
