Default Phoenix Area Trip Complete

My wife and I just returned the bike to Chesters, good people to work with. Rode the last 7 days all over southern Arizona. Certainly a nice break from Michigan winter, great to be back on two wheels again! We tried to do all of the recommended sites. Base camp was in Chandler.

Day 1: Up to Payson, then down to Globe for lunch and then back to Chandler.

Day 2: Tombstone, lots of fun there, lunch at Kate's.

Day 3: Putted around Scottsdale, Paradise Valley and then over to Tortilla Flats for lunch. Nice decor in there!

Day 4: Up to Sedona and then on 89A through Jerome and to Prescott Valley and back to Chandler.

Day 5: Off day - shopping around Scottsdale for the kids and just giving the wife a break from the bike

Day 6: Lake Havasu City. Nice ride out 10 and up 95 to Barley's Brewery.

Day 7: We went all around Globe, Florence, Coolidge, lunch in Mammoth.

At the end of it we got in 2,000 miles on the dot. Great weather and saw lots of other bikes out all week. Thanks to all of you who gave recommendations!

I think we'll definitely be back ...

I'm glad you enjoyed your time in our state. Where did you eat in Mammoth? I know a really good Mexican restaurant there.

La casita I believe. It was great, we are catholic and it had many catholic fixtures in there. It was the only restaurant we saw there. Small town!

Here are a few. Mostly taken in Sedona, Tortilla Flat (Crater Lake) and scenic areas. I have many more but they are simply mountain views we sent the kids.

Awesome. They sure bring back some memories for me. Did you stop at Ghost town while you were at Tortilla Flats?

Us at Ghost Town in front of Superstition Mtn.
