Maid-Rite's in Greenville , OH est. 1926. Great and unique sandwiches. Old diner style seating plus outdoor seating under shelter. The wall of gum on the exterior of the place is unbelievable. It's been a tradition since the place opened. Very fair prices.

Joes Gizzard City in Potterville, MI. Looks like a real dive right next to a consumers concrete operation. They've got a Double D burgled, the whole thing is battered and fried, they've got fried green olives, all kinds of fried desserts and foods you wouldn't expect. If you're ever near Lansing MI it's just a short trip away, don't hesitate to stop in, they're open 7 days a week. They were even on diners drive ins and dives.
Great food and beer served in a Mason jar and 'dem gizzards come in different flavors too!

Back in '93 I was riding my Heritage while pulling a trailer on my way to Oregon and spent the night in Winnemucca, NV.
I didn't get in until almost 10:00PM and I was "dog tired" and I accidentally slept in and got a late start the following morning. So, a quick O.J. and I was on my way north on Rt. 95 and then west on Rt. 140 towards the OR border.
IIRC, I was just south of Denio, NV when Rt. 140 made a left turn, and on that corner was a motel/restaurant/gas pump.
With a 4.2 gallon gas tank, and pulling a trailer, I took every opportunity to top my tank off, since this region of the country was very uh, rural!
I topped my tank off and went inside and ordered a glass of iced tea.
It was hot outside, cool inside and that iced tea went down so quickly I ordered another!
It was about 11:15 or so and since I had missed breakfast I was beginning to get a little "peckish".
The cook reminded me of that good 'ol boy cook on Hee-Haw with the full, white apron so I asked him what the "special" was?
"Liver and Onions" he said, "and they're good"!
A I sat there sipping on my iced tea, waiting on my lunch, an older gentleman came and sat down at my table and starting talking like we'd know each other for years!
Come to find out, he owned the place and was working on the building and came in for lunch himself.
We ate and chatted until we were both done with our meals.
I hit the road headed for Medford, OR and I was puttin' down the road it just popped into my head that not only was the Liver and Onions good, it was the best I'd ever had!
