Ya I looked at the 10 day for like Stanley and that's around 80 so that's nice. I think McCall was around 85. Just stay up in the higher elevations as much as I can I guess
I lived in Pocatello for 24 years and drove/rode much of Southern Idaho, there's not a terrific amount to see. Thousand Springs and Malad Gorge are nice, but the best areas are all North of the Interstate. I suggest East Idaho from Yellowstone down to Bear Lake, including the Tetons

You just feel that way cause you lived there and rode them so many times...LOL Just kidding.
I kind of liked around Sun Valley, Craters of the Moon, etc. Don't care much for the wind around the Pocee area though, always seems high and hot...
Sounds like you'll have the Sawtooths and Boise National Forests covered riding West. For something different going East, find Hwy 78 South of Nampa and ride the Oregon Trail. Catch Hwy 30 for the Thousand Springs Scenic route to Hagerman. At that point you can go on to SLC if you're gonna leave Idaho or continue on East to Wyoming again
I got back a few days ago and had a great time. I liked the area around McCall and Cascade. Nice to go through Sun Valley. Stanley was a cool little town and Salmon was fun. Boise was to far south and to warm so I mostly stayed in the southern mountains. Couple fires around garden valley. Craters were something different to see. Nice trip but good to be home

Glad you enjoyed it and are back home safe brother!
You're right it has been a warm one down here. Yeah those Craters are different. Seems when they get 1 fire out another 1 starts lately.
Gonna post pics??
Just got back from Idaho, There was a little construction between Banks and Lowman, no big deal because the traffic was light. Great roads and beautifull scenery !!!
South of Boise is Twin Falls. I went several years ago to see the Twin Falls, nad everyone told me they were just a dribble. They did not tell me about Shoshone Falls. I visited them a couple of weeks ago. They were low volume as the locals said. But still a treat.

Oh man, I forget about Shoshone Falls. I've been there several times, but always nice to see. If you go there mind you they do charge...per motorcycle (I think 3 or 4 bucks each). Taller than Niagra or something like that.
