Camping in the Redwoods
Buddies and I are riding down the OR coast and stopping for a night in the redwoods. We will be there next Sunday (13th) night.
Looking for "must do" rides and good places to camp. Absolutely does not have to be fancy, in fact we may end up just pulling off on a dirt road somewhere.
Any help/suggestions would be awesome!

If you want an adventure, check out Mattole Road, AKA - Lost Coast Highway just south of Ferndale. The road is challenging so skill level is advanced, but the views are amazing and there's a campground on the beach. An old-timer told me this was the old-old Highway 1, but it's the westernmost point of California. Very cool must-do rides if you have the ability. The road is mostly paved but there are some potholes and areas of gravel. I went the long way down but you can cut over at Honeydew back to 101. Anyway, it'll be a memory if you go.

We ('cause of my wife) didn't camp when we rode thru the redwoods in rain and mist, but riding double and pulling a trailer with a new Softail back about 15 years ago was a memory we still occasionally talk about.
