4 State Ride
4 State Ride
I tried this last year but got rained out so didn't make it... this year I have more time and hopefully better weather!
The states are:
Washington, Idaho, Wyoming, Montana
The rough plan is to leave Vancouver on Saturday and head to Lewiston, likely along the 2 but possible taking it wide thru Deception Pass. From Lewiston it's Lolo Pass and the 93 down to Idaho Falls or Soda Springs so I can take Tin Cup into Wy. I'm considering a stop at the Craters of the Moon, but it depends how I'm doing on time.
I'll take a little time to camp and explore the Tetons from Jackson and pay a visit to Yellowstone before riding Beartooth to Red Lodge...
I haven't gotten much further into the plan than that but I'm thinking Glacier/Whitefish and Going-To-The-Sun Road should be in there somewhere before I head back West towards home... possible thru Coeur D'Alene and Spokane
There's some great information on Idaho in recent threads, and a some good details on Wy. but not a lot on Northern Montana and Glacier - I'd be stoked if someone could throw around idea on what to see (or avoid) between Red Lodge-Whitefish-Spokane... Lewis and Clark Caverns? Lewis and Clark National Forest? I'm all ears!
