Four Corners Rally
All profits went to charity and all the workers were volunteers by the way. The volunteers, Board of Directors, etc. were members of ABATE of NM and ABATE of Colorado.
The City of Durango and in particular the Durango Herald newspaper put the rally down at every turn as did local law enforcement, especially the local sheriff at the time.
After the volunteer board gave up, the rally was turned over to a promoter (For Profit) who tried to run it and ended up in debt to everyone in the country. Now it is a disjointed effort scattered throughout 2 counties. I don't know how many people go anymore, but I do know that it is nothing like the 45,000 that was the last armband count under the ABATE folks.
To answer your question as to whether I am going: NO!!!
