Default Question from a CVO Newb

I have a question for you CVO guys, I just picked up a 2012 CVO Roadglide Custom and will be selling my 07 Roadglide. Ive got a couple questions to ask for advice.
I was going to transfer my Hawg wired amp and speakers to the new bike as well as my xm module.
Today I found an online parts finder and in those pics it shows an ipod module and an amp module mounted on top of the receiver, I assume the bike came with this system.
Do those two modules take up both portals on top of the radio, or does the amp piggyback on a module?
I guess if it came with the amp/speakers, theres no need to install the Hawgwired amp.
Is there any way to keep my XM module that has another 1-1/2 years left on it and hook it up to this bike?
Also, the bike is completely stock, you think I can change the exhaust to a Supertrapp 2:1:2 without a tune? I mean it comes with the SE heavy breather from the factory so Id venture to guess the exhaust really wont change things much??
It would be nice to find this out before I yank off 2 fairings,
Thanks

Unless you want to remove the existing amp and install your Hog Tunes for better sound, you do have an upgraded system. as for the XM that you have with 1 1/2 years left, that can be transferred to the new unit. Just call Sirius/XM .
If you change the exhaust, you better install a tuner. Yes it will change it THAT much. On any bike you can get away with changing just an A/C unit, or just a set off slip ons, but when doing both or more so when changing the head pipe, you most definitely need a tuner. Any bike regardless of ad on parts will run better with tuner, but certainly necessary with ad-ons. You bought a nice bike, do it right and make it right..
If I can suggest, get a Dyno Jet Power Vision, add your exhaust and flash the unit with a ECM map, and run a bunch of Auto Tunes to get it right without going all out and getting a dyno done. FuelMoto is the place to go.

The oem amp is not on top,it's mounted on the side.the cvo rg have 5x7 speakers,so be prepared to swap out adaptors as well.
I agree with the tuner,it will make the bike run much better anyway.

Thanks for the replies. If the amp is mounted remotely mounted the. That should leave the second dock on top of the radio head open for the xm module the.
I will email Jaime about a tune with pipes. Thanks guys
