Default SE 110 compression release trouble

I have a brand new FLHRSE3, put 80 miles on it and lost 100psi of compression in the rear cylinder. Waiting to here from the dealer. It may be a stuck compression release valve. This is the first year for these in the new 110"s . Anyone else had this trouble?

Hi, I have a brand new FLHRSE3 with the new 110 engine. I put 80 miles on it, and on a restart it developed a skip. The rear cylider lost 100psi of compression down to 105psi compared to the front cylinder's 205psi. They suspect it may be a stuck compression release valve. Has anyone heard about this problem.

rob,
you asked if anyone else had the problem, and evidently no one does. How is that lame?[:@]

The 07 110's have compression releases controlled electronically through the ECM. maybe it stuck, maybe the ECM didn't send a proper signal or there is a wiring problem. In any case, I think you got the answer to the question you asked.

Dalton, Three weeks and only one response, to me thats disappointing and lame. I got at least 8 seperate feed backs on another site, within hours. They were asking me more specific questions and giving me feedback. Isn't that what a forum is all about? You were the only one other than madpoodle that had anything to say. Your info was more of what I was hoping for. Come on, even you know your not that easy to please, look at all the engine work you did to your bike. Could it be because the performance was .dare I say "Lame"? Looks great by the way. Have you done any dyno runs? [sm=deal.gif]

Got my bike back, runs good. The problem started when I dropped the bike off at a highly regarded high performance shop, to have them remap my injection system, since I had just installed a two into one exhaust. One of the comp. releases started to malfunction. They took it to the nearest dealer to check it out. After waiting for the compressioin release to be back ordered, the dealerreplaced it, with no success. Turns out the Performance shop inadvertantly fried my ecm.The dealer replaced it, the other shop paid for it. I had the dealer install the SERT and tune the bike. I would have done that in the first place, but I thought I didn't know dealers were allowed to "tamper" with emmisions etc. Anyway, I was frustrated that the bike was down, andI was getting much feed back on this forum. Sorry if I offended anyone with my "lame" coment.[sm=boink3.gif]
