Had the light in my fairing speaker switch go out - searched the old innerweb to find out HD charges about $83.00 to replace. I found another source for about $40.00.
Since I'm so cheap and have some time on my hand I decided to take the switch apart and do some investigating. Come to find out the bulb/lamp was relatively easy to remove and replace. Attached are a few pictures of what it looks like apart.
The replacement lamp is...MIN 10655 2174 Lamp Box. I paid $4.33 for the bulb but, I'm sure you can find it cheaper somewhere else.
If you have time, patience and some soldering skills, this is a DIY fix and a lot cheaper.
