With less than 2k miles i've got a front rim that's got blistering around the entire rim....chrome peeling off....
I sent pictures to the Thailand dealer (Thailand just got a HD recognized dealer a few months ago) Unfortunately they claim my bike is illegal as it's the USA specs....not the Asian Pacific specs....I think the only difference is the MPH rather than KPH....The problem i have is i ordered the bikein the Fall of 2006 before there was a Harley dealership in Thailand...now i'm told there is no warranty for this bike at the HD Dealership in Thailand. That the downloads for this bike are not available through the Thai HD system because the VIN number won't be recognizedas onlythe Asian Pacifics specs models are recognized in the system in BKK.
This is a 2007SERKthat i paid what amounts to $48K usd for through a dealership in PA.
The pocked marked rim looks like something i'm gonna have to eat.
There are an awful lot of HD brought into Thailand prior to Thailand getting it's own dealership....to penalize bike owners whose bike was ordered prior to the dealership opening is a big disapointment.
Many chrome defects on my 2005 SE FLHT.........both mirrors, passenger floorboards, and wheels. Has anyone had luck with getting HD to warranty? Bike only has 6,000 miles.
Nice bike! Tell me more about the motor. My motor runs strong, but definitely has some pinging going on. I bought my bike used, a few months ago, and am surprised to be learning about all the issues with SE's. Never had any problems with previous HD's.
