That should be it... make sure you have your key fob in proximity. Also make sure the regular power switch is off.
14+ CVO's don't have an "ignition switch" like standard bikes. The "dial" on the dash in front of the radio is only for the fork lock. Normal operation as long as the key fob is in range you only flip the run/stop switch on the right handlebar on and hit the start button and go. It's a little different and convenient for some things but awkward for others (like when you want to just shut the engine off but not the radio or headlights.

Accessory mode for the CVO's is functioned when you hold down the toggle/trigger switch on top of the left control switch housing. you have to have your fob with you, do not turn on the bike, hold the trigger switch for a few seconds and you will see your entertainment system power up. Once the entertainment system comes online, you are in accessory more. This is used for updates and can also be used to listen to your Boom Entertainment system without draining the battery as much. You can leave it in accessory more for two hours, then the bike will automatically power down.
This is straight out of the HD Owners Manual:
Accessory Mode
"See Hand Controls and Switches . With the key fob present, press and hold the trigger switch. The instruments and accessory circuit are powered. The headlamp and turn signal lamps remain off. While in accessory mode, the instruments display the fuel gauge and odometer functions. The headlamp can be activated by pressing the headlamp flash to pass switch.
To turn the motorcycle back off, press and hold the trigger switch.
Do not leave the motorcycle in accessory mode for an extended time. This can discharge the battery. If the vehicle is left in accessory mode for two hours, the motorcycle automatically shuts off to prevent complete battery discharge. To resume accessory mode, press and hold the trigger switch again."
I hope this helps.
