Your exactly right, you can't realistically base anything on what is posted here, not only do we need numbers on how many had issues, but I also would like to see how many didn't have issues.

I have the exact same bike, my big issue is I am finding the heated grip on 1, I have discovered thats from holding on to tight as the 110 rips the highway, no other issues on mine.

So Far a little over 32,000 on my Stock 15 CVO Limited with no problems. Sure the 110's are a bit noisy from the top end but you tend to get use to it over time.

I had a 2014 CVO 110 Road King and now I have a 2018 Road King Special. I love the 107 M8 hands down over the 110 twin cam. Its like night and day. Runs a lot smoother, a lot cooler and feels way more responsive. Seat of the pants the 107 M8 feels more powerful. Even if they dyno with similar power I believe it would still be because of the 107 having a smoother and more efficient power band across the board. This is new RKS with the M8 is my favorite Harley to date.

Not sure what percentage. I have had two of the four 110 motors I have owned have failed lifters. One was at 46,000 miles on the 09 and then at 44,000 miles on the 15.

Most people do not have those miles in two years. Both mine were still in the two year warranty.

They are a lot noisy. Lefter failure can happen anywhere between 20K and 50K miles from what I have seen. Good friends 14 had a failed lifter at 21K, another at 35 when his bike was 18 months old, and I have had two bikes with it.

I have put 20.526 miles on the M8 114 and its a much better motor. Now on a M8 117.

I hope a new bike is smoother and feels stronger than a 4 year old bike. In four years.....

I know for a fact a new M8 114 is much smoother and much stronger than a new 110. I road a New 16 CVO road glide Ultra, and the 17 CVO Street glide back to back the same day.

The M8 is a much smoother engine, just look at them idle side by side, and then you can feel it on the bike. The M8 has much less valve train noise. The torque comes on at a lower RPM on the M8, which makes it feel much stronger.

I have owned 5 CVO touring bikes with the 110, including the 13 CVO King I still have.

I am on my second CVO with the M8, my 17 with the 114 and now my 18 with the 117. I put 20526 miles on the 17 before I traded on the 18.

So I have quite a few miles experience on both the M8 and the 110. Heck I have over 156,000 miles on the 110 engine.

Not sure, I do a lot of the Ridemore rides out of Smokey Mountain HD. They are usually Tuesday mornings unless weather changes the day.

Do you feel much of a difference in power between the 114 and 117 ?...

24k on my 2016 ultra limited CVO.. no issues at all. Should have close to 30 by the time 2 years are up.
