Smile Tuner Needed ?

I just purchased a 2012 Ultra Classic CVO 110 Screaming Eagle, I have just purchased a set of Rine Hart Extreme Racing True Duals to liven up the sound of her. Do I need a tuner/programmer on the bike to accommodate these pipes or can I run them with the stock fueling set up on the bike? I plan doing the cams at a later time and installing a tuner at that point.

You'll need a tuner asap before riding the bike after you install the True Duals. If you don't get the tuner on you'll be running the motor extremely lean and the possibility of damaging the motor is a real probability. Give Fuel-Moto a call they'll set you up with exactly what you need.

My bike is a 2012 with O2 sensors, would the factory module not adjust to allow for the new exhaust?

The factory ECU does have the ability to adjust to a new modification but only up to a certain point. The new exhaust along with the high flowing SE Ventilator air cleaner that is on the bike, if it still is, is I believe, beyond the ECU's +/- 3% capability.

I would wait until you get the cams your want them do it all at one time with a Dyno tune and a Power commander or something like that. Ask your tunner what he likes .

Although you probably don't need a tuner for an exhaust change, the stock 110 is pretty lackluster on performance. If cams are in your future, I would get a tuner ($350-450) and get it dyno tuned ($300-500). Might sound like a lot, but you will need the tuner when you do cams. The stock 110 on my Breakout gained 6hp and 11tq on the dyno even with crappy pipes (V&H 2-2 big radius, like the looks). Next was cams (SE585) and dyno at 93hp and 113tq. This winter the heads go in for some work, bump up compression, and 2-1 pipe. Looking for 110+. Don't know what kind of numbers will make you happy, but these are mine

Thanks for the inputs.
Yes the bike is not near as quick as I thought it would be and sounds like Goldwing, my other bike is a 2006 Vulcan VN 2000 (125 cu) Limited Edition with Vance and Hines, Power Commander III, rear car tire (225/50/16) and has been dyno tuned. It is a rocket in comparison to my Utlra Classic CVO 110.
I plan installing the Rine Hart Extreme Racing Ture Dual pipes tonight as I have a upcoming bike trip next week to Tennessee, SC, NC etc. When I return I will do the cam and Dyno Jet tuner, I would like to unleash all the power that is available on this fine bike.

Good thinking, take a 2000mile trip on a lean ststem that you are going to completely change the exhaust flow characteristics by going to true duals (crappy ones BTW) that will make it run leaner yet! The ECM can make changes for altitude, pressure and temp on A STOCK SETUP!!! When you change intake, exhuast OR BOTH stock mapping is out the window!

I gave Moto Fuel a call and they are sending me a Dyno Jet programmer that will accommodate my new pipes and they will remap for me once I install cams. Thanks again for all the inputs.
