I rode a new 2018 Limited CVO and I noticed that the windshield had a curve in it a couple of inches from the top.
And all across the windshield from left to right was about 1 1/12 inch of blurred plastic.
It made it difficult to see out of while riding.
The guy I talked to said I would probably want to replace it with a shorter windshield so I could see over the top, but why would they allow such a defective windshield on the bike in the first place.
Itâs a 10â windsplitter. They started putting them on in 2018. That windshield is much more effective than the previous flat windshield. Most people can see right over the top of it. Itâs also highly desirable and expensive and I bet you could trade for a flat windshield in a minute of listing.
The blurriness is s byproduct of the curvature and an inherent drawback of the windsplitter. The benefit is the curvature pushes the wind over your head better. You can use a shorter windsplitter to get the same results as a taller flat windshield. Take a look at Klock Werks. I had one of these on my 14 Street Glide and loved it. Will probably replace the factory windsplitter on my 18 CVO with one as well.
I have an 18 CVO Limited. Not really noticing the area across the top as blurry as I look way over it. That said, I am not totally digging the windshield. The seat has me higher than my 2017 CVO Street glide which is contributing to some head buffeting wind across the top? or sides of my helmet. I am going to look for a windshield that has more of a curve at the top but at the same height to try to eliminate it. Unfortunately, windshields are like seats and exhaust. Everyone likes something different. Before you know it, you can have your own private stock of windshields, seats and exhaust

Take a look at Klock Werks. Might be what you are looking for. I had the 6.5" smoke tinted one on my 14 Street Gluide. My friend got the 11.5" clear for his Limited. I'm gonna try the 8.5" clear for my 18 CVO Limited.
