i know this is a new model and there may be some issues to sort out, but....
i took delivery of my 2018 anniversary edition a month ago. When I ordered my baby, I made sure to place the order for all my goodies and components to get everything done by delivery.
This included a full screaming eagle exhaust system, race tuner, auto tuner, extra amp and some boom 2.0 speaker sets front and back.
Exhaust fitted. Try and marry the race tuner to bike through digital tech at dealer to load new maps, no can do. Neither the auto tuner. Ok thats a problem, apparently Bosch has no updated maps for new bikes available yet.
Ok lets install the upgraded audio.
No can do, the wiring harness has changed and dealer is not able to plug new amp or speakers in the bike without butchering the harness.
Not gonna do that to brand new $45k bike tx!
pretty disappointed to say the least. Wonder if they will find a solution for the ecu map update soon.
Bike Is running very hot and lean with full exhaust system and idles very rough.
Anyone else ?
your post is a bit confusing to me
..... seems a CVO would already have a "full screaming eagle exhaust system'
..... not sure how both a 'Race tuner' and an 'auto tuner' are compatible/necessary
... i can't imagine that a new boom 2 amp wouldn't plug into a new boom2 system
...... i'm not saying there are not good answers to your questions, but if you're going OEM w/your upgrades to protect the warranty it all oughta work.
and the dealer ought be able to at least make it idle correctly

1) I don't believe the CVO Limited includes the High Flow Exhaust with the Street Cannons with built in cats. These are on my list to purchase when mine comes in.
2) Gotta have a SE Pro Tuner before you can install the Pro Automatic Tuning Module.
3) There is a problem with the wire harness that comes with the Boom 2 system for the CVO Limited. I read about it on one of the forums. You need to order a different harness.

I was not aware of any of the Street Cannons coming with built in cats. Has the location of the cat changed from previous years?

The High Flow Exhaust is bigger dia than the standard exhaust. The standard exhaust has a single Cat at the crossover. The High Flow has separate Cats in each muffler. The idea is that 2 cat equals > flow. The only mufflers that will fit the the High Flow Exhaust are the ones with built in cats.
Yes the Boom stage II takes a different plug for the rear speaker crossover pigtail , I believe its a 8 pin instead of a 12 pin . I also went with the 4.5 SE Street Cannons which are straight through exhaust system along with a Full-Sac/ Harley Header . Your also going to find out it takes a different wiring pigtail to the rear aux. cooling fan which pulls air from the rear cylinder down past the rear portion of the frame to make it work correctly .

When dealer connected the SE Race Tuner to load a new map, it returned an error stating that this was not a recognized configuration. So no updated map could be loaded and hence we could not get to the auto tuner install phase either.
Would love a part number for different harness if you have it handy. I've been through the HD shop website and 2018 parts catalog with no luck...

I have a 2018 CVO Limited and upgraded my audio to Boom state 2 within the 60 days. You are correct, the rear pigtail is different as my HD tech found out. This was a couple months ago but at the time there was no part number for it. I imagine if you get your HD parts guy to call the Tech line they prob have the part number now. You can show him these pictures.
And not to be the bearer of bad new.. but .. the boom state 2 upgrade is a complete waste of money. It only sounds marginally OK when the bike is not running. As soon as you start it, there is only a slight difference. If I were you I'd return it all now. The stage 1 that comes in it sounds the same.
