The 110s just have a little problem with valve springs and Lifters.

More than a little problem with the lifters. They fail, some where between 20K and 45K miles usually. When they fail, they can take out the motor. Two of the four CVO's with 110 have had lifters fail. The 15 CVO RGU they failed at 44K miles, 5 days before the bike was 2 years old. New motor installed by HD.

The 110 engines, all years have lifter issues, even the new ones with the up graded lifters. Had them fail on an 09 and on a 15.

This is what I have, and with a little luck mine will fail completely sooner then 44k i'm at 19k now, looking forward to a new engine.

My CVO will get a lifter change at 15000 miles. S&S standards for me. I have ESP but prefer not to have a serious engine problem 1000 miles from home. Stock CVO lifters are junk the 255 cams do nothing to help. Changing lifters is not a big job if you know a little about engines and own a service manual. Hope this helps.
