Hello all and thanks for allowing me to be here I have a 2005 CVO Electra glide driving it the other night I pulled off to the side of the road to talk to a buddy and it would not start it has started a couple times since then but now nothing fuel pump is good everything works I go to the systems relay and if I ground the negative side of the coil on the system's relay which goes directly to the ECM number 4 input I believe it's green with orange Stipe everything turns on and it's starts otherwise I get no fuel no ignition and only starter turns over. I have checked the grounds at least all the visible grounds pulled ECM and went through it change the relay even though I bypass the relay and it works messed with the security system it engages and alarms and turns back off when I turn it off.... any suggestions would help. Thanks again in advance. I would suggest it is the ECM but when I bypass that one ground off of that systems relay groundside coil it runs fine
Have you checked for any codes? That may tell you a lot. Easy Google search will show you how and what they mean.
I would check the connection under the tank behind the air breather. It has a habit of being ignored and could cause this. The connection is for the throttle body and gets dirty. Clean with a contact cleaner, apply dielectric grease and plug back in.

Good luck
I did check codes and came up with injector timing issues ...that was expected with the relay being intermittent for a few minutes...that's all that came up. I keep getting led back to ECM since that g/o wire goes direct to number 4 in ECM just hoping something else is locking it out. Like I said it runs if I ground the system coil but the file pump never goes off

I didn't do the throttle body connection I will check it but didn't think it would be the issue
Well I have gone through everything I can find and still nothing ...unless I ground out the coil side if the relay. There is a tailight / blinker controller under the seat on the fender that connects in line on the blinker harness that constantly clicks like a relay does this have anything to do with engine run.

Still no fuel no spark everything else works I can run a jumper wire from the ground side of the system relay that goes to pin for on the ECM and ground it and everything works I suspect it's the t s s m module going to the tail lights but don't know how to test it it was poorly mounted and doesn't look to be in the best of shape but can't find anything further I did also try to reset the tssm as shown in the manual but still no start any suggestions would be appreciated...
hey brother..
sorry to chime in so late.. did you get it worked out? cause i had the EXACY same symptoms when my TSSM went.. gave me a couple no starts a few days in between and then nothing.. changed the TSSM and all was good..
but i did the same diag as you.. jumping pins to checkoperation.. only diff was i didnt have an EFI code, i didnt have ANY code for that matter except for the ones that i caused
Thanks ghost I had begun to think that nobody had a clue LOL no I have not fixed the problem but also have not taking it back to the dealer to spend the dealer money if you know what I mean I was hoping that I could solve it myself but at this point the bike is still not working and have got no responses even from my dealer employee friends that have researched the same situation... I figured I would just have to take it back to the dealer and have them fix it I will certainly let you know if that gets me anywhere the slogan Osama bin laden is dead and general motors is doing the duties of a commander in chief

hey brother..
what ever happened with this? and yah, i tried to solve it myself too, but the end result inevitable, so i hope you had better luck than i did and it wasnt the TSSM, it isnt an expensive part considering its job, but if it wasnt for the dealer programming required, anyone here can do it
also..
on another note..
you wont get spark on our EFI systems unless the plug is in place or grounded 100% an good as it sits in the head, the coil feed from the ECU senses resistance across the post side and fires the plug, no resistance, no fire, some kind of ION backfeed, I KID YOU NOT!! i saved many a local riders from new coils by showing them an unholy way to test ( PM me)
this may or may not give you a visual
ground the plug against the head, dim the lights, pay attention to the electrode, the coil will pittifully 1/2 spark the plug ONCE when you start cranking, senses no resistance and shuts the feed to the coil
and thats ION sensing at work.. right next to the flux capacitor, below the quantum generator, above the particle atomizer!! ROFL!!!!
