Sounds like the stock shield is too tall for you OP - AFAIK they are supposed to be looked over, not through.

The stock shield on my 2019 was OK for me… I’m 6’2” and the wind vortex just passed over my head. However, the wife is 6’ and it buffeted her pretty badly, so I got a Memphis Shades 8 1/2” with the bronze tint. It looks awesome on my bike, but unfortunately there is still some buffeting for her.

Yeah, first place I looked was MS as I seemed to recall they were popular with the bagger guys several years ago and I recall those guys seemed to be happy with them.

Unfortunately the 8 1/2” is the tallest they had for the Limited, so I may have to go with Klock Werks or some other brand. I’m going to take my time and check out everything I can, especially on our upcoming road trip (Deadwood/Sturgis, etc) so I don’t get caught up in collecting windshields.

Sometimes it is tough to find just the right fit and function, but fortunately there are plenty of options to choose from.

I agree with the OP. The stock screen is ten inches and I do look over it most of the time but there are critical times that you voluntarily or otherwise look through it, such as when going uphill or when trying to identify potential obstacles right in front of you. When this happens the distortion offered by the curve is unacceptable. I replaced mine with a ten inch Ultra Limited screen in light smoke.

I bought a new to me '18 CVO Street Glide and the stock shield is $hit. It distorts everything you look at where the shield deflects up. I went with Freedom shields. I did buy 2 of them. A shorter tinted shield and a taller clear shield. I like the looks of the shorter tinted shield on the bike, but I like the function of the larger clear shield. The shorter tinted shield, even though there is zero distortion and it does deflect the air up over my head, I still get bugs blasting me in the face. I prefer to look through a shield, not over...

Try the windscreen on the 18, 19 or 20 CVO road Showbox jiofi.local.html tplinklogin glide. It has no function, its not as tall as the fairing.
