If I remember correctly I had a hard time finding the aux switch for the console. I had to flip the cover because I could only find one for the right side of console. Dealer said
it wouldn't work but I had no issues.

Ok so I understand this... you are looking to ad a switch to your dash panel switches that will operate the lighted eyes in the horn cover< did I get this right? Now you asked if its easy to do, yes it is if your OK with taking the time to do it and making it all look like it came from the factory.
If so you will need the following:

Switch Pack:
https://shop.newcastlehd.com/catalog...n?sku=69200172
you can carefully take the assembly apart and move the lighted push button over to the center position. The center switch position is what controls the AUX plug located under the left side cover. Black plug with a LBE/GN & BK wire

Aux Plug:

https://shop.newcastlehd.com/catalog...n?sku=72169-07
this is the male end of the AUX plug located under side cover, you will need to install wires into positions 1 & 4 of this assembly, position 4 is ground.

Male Terminals;
get yourself a few extra..

Here is a link to the crimp tool if your wanting to do it correctly, like I said above, bye a few extra terminals and practice a bit.
https://www.amazon.com/Namz-Barrl-Cr.../dp/B01IU729P8 https://www.amazon.com/Namz-Barrl-Cr.../dp/B01IU729P8

When you remove your dash panel to install the switch pack, you will see the blank is plugged into the wiring harness already on your bike for all this to work, under your left side cover again is the AUX plug already wired to your bike.

CORRECTION:

I provided the wrong connector above for the AUX Female Plug, It should be HD # 72177-07BK which is a 4 pin connector, not the 3 pin part number I provided.
