Default Rear Speaker Replacement

It sounds like I've blown one of my rear saddlebag speakers for the second time. The first was covered under warrantee. They only cost about $140 but I wonder if there's a better speaker that can handle more power and be drop in. I'm not too interested in doing a full upgrade at this time. I understand the Stage II system that comes with the bike is 2 Ohm and that the rear speakers have 2 separate channels each.

Thanks

I should have noted. This is a 2019 CVO RoadGlide.

So... Take this for what it is worth... I put a post just like yours in the Audio Section of HDForums. I was told that the Rockford Fosgate TMS57 can be a direct replacement for the BOOM II 5x7 Saddlebag speakers. Now that being said I just ordered two new Boom II Speakers. I just got my CVO and I believe they are both blown. I may try the TMS57's if I blow one of my new speakers. I've read and have been told by HD Service do NOT turn the base on the HU on the BOOM II past mid level or you will continue to blow speakers. From the Audio guys forum here they say you can use the TMS57 and just use the bass plug from the BOOM II Speaker and you will get full range from it. Now you ask Rockford Fosgate or even Hog Tunes and both of them say there is no compatible 5x7 for the BOOM II only the BOOM I. Up to you what you want to do. If I do blow a speaker and try the TMS57's I will by them from someplace that I can return them. Hook them up, try them out with a few songs and a short ride. If they work, great. If not, they will go back into the box the same day and sent back. One of the guys in the Audio section said he's done this on two buddies bikes and they work just fine... Sound better then the BOOM II. Again, take that info for what it's worth...

keep the head unit, scrap everything else and go aftermarket

way better options

i used to be a little more diplomatic with the HD Boom and RF stuff, but no more.....i felt terrible for a friend who did not get in touch with me prior to 'upgrading' to a stage II from the dealership

$5100.00!!

that's stupid money, and you should have seen the look on his face when we compared systems and I told him paid $2100 for a system that puts his to shame

hit up the audio section here, let the good folks here keep you from pissing your money away
