I'm planning to invest on a cam upgrade for my Road Glide CVO 2019. I'm looking into either Redshift 468 or S&S 475G.
I understand that upgrading camchest and oil pump is definitely recommendable in this case but, given the costs, I'm a little hesitant....Would I be looking for trouble if I go for cam update only (i.e. without camchest and oil pump upgrade)?
Keen to hear also what people would recommend between RS468 and S&S475 ! :-)

When was your 2019 built? If its after May 2019 then you should have the newest HD 8 lobe pump. I ran the 475c in my 2019 cvo sg and its an awesome cam! Went to a Fuel Moto built 128 and kept the same cam but I did have them put in the new HD 8 lobe oil pump as mine was an early build and did not get it. The cam is awesome in the 128 as well. Lots of good aftermarket cams available that will work great in the 117 or bigger.

Thanks man. I bought my bike in June 2019 in Switzerland hence production date is for sure ahead of May 2019. But two months in experienced the sumping issue, which Harley fixed several months later (they took some 3 to 4 months to give me the bike back). Is the replacement of the oil pump part of the sumping issue fix, as far you know?

I personally have not heard of any sumping on bikes with the new pump. What was their fix? What did they do to the bike in those months?
