There is a redesigned handlebar used on the SERK. It is described as having 2" more rise with a "flattened" rider hand position. I haven't seen one. I would be interested in hearing from owners how they like the feel compared to stock. This appears to be a new design only for the Road King. It is an option for a non CVO 2008 Road King as well.
I doubt I'm going to run into a CVO 2008 anytime soon, so I would love to hear from you lucky owners!
I got mine yesterday.
I don't know about the changes but the handlebar doesn't seem to fit me as well as my '06 Fatboy.
It could be I just need some time to get use to it.
Congrats on your new scoot! Looks awesome.
Can you tell me if you think the bars on the SERK are an improvement over the stock "Buffalo" bars?
It's really hard for me to tell from the photos.
I'm certainly looking for more rise on the handlebars. It sounds like the bars on the SERK are 2" taller than stock-true?
I'd appreciate your thoughts as to what you think about the stock "Buffalo" bars vs the SERK bars.
I'm trying to decide whether to install the SERK handlebars on my 08 Road King on delivery or ride the stock bars for awhile.
I didn't see your reply until now and I just got back from my dealership.
Thanks about the compliments. I do think it is an attractive bike and runs great so far.
I'll check in to your questions and try to post some better pictures on the handlebars.
