2024 models have not yet hit the NHTSA website.

You can go to www.NHTSA.govand view these recalls and manufacturer communications very easily.

To view a recall specific to a VIN:
  1. Go to www.NHTSA.gov/recalls
  2. Enter the VIN
To view a manufacturer communication for a specific vehicle:
  1. Go to www.NHTSA.gov/recalls
  2. Select "Vehicle" from the list of options
  3. Enter the vehicle info as "Year Make Model" (e.g., 2023 Harley-Davidson FLHXSE)
    • Note the model for HDs must be the abbreviated model code (e.g., FLHXSE, FLTRXSE, etc.)
  4. Under the 'Manufacturer Communications' column, select the number associated with the vehicle you wish to view.
    • Here you will find all the various documents related to that model, specifically the various safety and emissions related TSBs.
    • Note: not all TSBs have to be released to the public.
The 24's would not need an update. They already have an updated BCM and ECM.

I know the recall is only for the CVO Street Glide. That doesn't mean that when Harley updates a CVO Road Glides ECM that it doesn't get the same flash as the CVO Street Glide.

I just brought home a new CVO ST last Friday. The dealership had already applied the ECM update from the service bulletin M1632 while the bike was still sitting on their showroom floor. Monday was beautiful and I decided to go for a ride...oops, crank, no start. Called the dealership and called everyone there everything but a child of God. $52,000 out-the-door for a brick blocking my driveway. I was very unhappy.

Well, after several minutes on hold and conversations with several people at the dealership, I went back out and the bike started right up. Of course, it went right back to the dealership where it has sat for the past few days... but nothing was done. They just ensured that the ECM was actually updated and that the battery cables were securely fastened. They told me to take a video of it if I ever experienced the issue again. You gotta love modern technology.

I have had the no start a few times in 7000 miles. It is frustrating. If the battery is fully charged and I get the no start, I just shut it off, walk out of range of the fob for 3~4 minutes, come back turn it on, let everything boot up and then hit start. It's worked every time. That said it is embarrassing when you are with other people.

Any idea what they actually tried with your head unit? Curious if they replaced it or just sprinkled pixie dust on the original hoping it would correct itself.

they updated the amp? not sure what that means...my guess is there is firmware in the amp and it can be modified

as well, i wasted my money getting them to change the 5x7s in the bags for the 6x9 speakers, i could not tell the difference...not sure if that matters as well

Very Strange but I have now lost the ability to see what software version is on my bike. It has worked fine, and never had an issue looking at it, but yesterday software was grayed out and wouldn't let me select it I wonder if this is another bug or a over the air update?

Just checked mine for giggles, no issue seeing it. Bike has been sitting since November (thanks winter) and haven't turned it on since New Year's Day for our annual odometer reset ceremony. It did take forever to boot up (couple of minutes) and after I got into settings there was a dashed circle in the center of the screen that cleared itself after 10 seconds or so, never seen that before. On another note bike has been on a charger since November, the light went from green to yellow while I was playing with the screen. Headlight on of course, but it wasn't that long.
