I know there are many who will never take it off road. It really is a great on road bike. I did back to back 750 mile days on mine. Stock Pan America special will beat any stock CVO 0-60, 1/4 mile and top speed. Has much better suspension than my 2023 CVO with the best suspension stock on any touring bike.
I could see the CVO PAS, if it was more aimed at on road touring.
I think your on to something they dropped the normal Pan America from the carryover lineup. My guess is the CVO version will be heavily biased for Sport Touring and not as dirt worthy as the Special. But who knows, it could be highly modified with lighter parts, added guards, etc. to make it more dirt worthy. It is also possible that it has a refresh in bodywork, looks, etc. that will be rolled down to the lineup next year kind of like they are doing with the refresh to the Streetglide. I wonder if it will have a big bore kit and be more powerful? Maybe it will be bumped up to 170 HP or something too. This could be a good move assuming they dont screw it up with design problems.
Doesn't make sense to me. Make it fancier, on an off road bike? The are subject to being dropped when ridding off road. Or is it going to be a fancy street version?
Agree fancy paint and chrome? Or they could deck it out with all the extra guards and whatever you bolt on from the catalogue. Then you have a $$$ that is meant to go in bad places and maybe get scratched, ect.
