You guys with no leaks, how many miles do you have on your bikes?
I bought my bike in July and it has 1,800 miles on it. My boss owns a 07 SE Ultra with about 10Kand he hasn't had any leaks and one of my riding buddies has about 16,000 on his with no leaks.

I feel bad for you guys that are going through this. It would be tough to spend that much for a bike and then have problems but I haven't seen any problems first hand.

I am waiting for delivery of the copper & black 105th anniversary model of the FLHRSE4 at my local HD dealer. I have heard there is a 4 week delay because of a vender problem. Does anyone out there know what part they are waiting on.
Let's look at this logically, they have already shipped other paint scheme '08 SERK's so it has to be either the serialized emblem or something to do with the painted items.

We know they've made SOME anniversary SERK's as I have pictures my buddy took while in Rapid City during this year's Sturgis event. I'd post some of the scans of the bike but they are not really worth the effort as the quality is not that great and they were done in matte finish which tends to not scan very well.

I've seen pictures of the '08 SEUC anniversary edition online and the paint is much more flake than metalic.

My local dealer, Don's Harley in St. Louis, 314-965-0166, Rick Blanner, has a new '08 SEUC with the candy cane paint that's not spoken for. To me it's red and silver. It has way more flake in the paint and the paint just sparkles, but like other, I'm not too crazy for the design of the paint scheme. If someone is looking for this particular bike, give Rick a call. I looked at the price quickly and I'm not sure if all the dealer add on's are included, freight setup etc. The prices was $36,900.00, or somewhere there abouts.

I too am waiting for word on my '08 SERK anniversary bike. I was told originally November and I've seen several people on the CVO Forum with expected dates in September. But none of those actually have serial numbers and hard dates, so it's anyone's best guess at this point.

Unlike some of you guys that have late model bikes you can keep without "having" to upgrade to an '08, all I have is my lonely ole '76 FLH that right now is in need of a crank rebuild. So for me I'm without option on whether to keep an '05 or an '07 instead of buying a new '08.

I had a chance to pick up a red '07 SERK new but thought that in '08 they'd have their stuff together and hopefully resolved the motor issues of the '07 110".

Enjoy you bikes while I'm out in my garage tearing out my motor today. Here in the St. Louis area this is one of the BEST weekends for riding, mid 80's and sunny all weekend, and no bike to ride.

Bummer dudes and dudettes.

I have 6,000+ miles on my 07 FLHTCUSE2, already have a leaky head gasket, oil leak at the oil cooler, rediculousengine pingwhen it gets hot on the highway, came off a 04 ultra, not really impressed with the bike other than the outstanding looks. I may not have bought it if I knew it was a P.O.S. like all other Harleys, shift linkage flew off at 80 mph on the way out of Vegas, never found it but limped toZion Harley Davidson in Utah ( a really good dealer)who replaced it under warranty but didnt have the chrome one and Harley wont replace it now after I had themit put the regular oneon, stranded with no choice. I think the Ultra w/ a 96 ci. motor is just as good and $12,000 less, its just as much bike unless you have to have the heated grips and seat, electric bag locks,GPS + XM radio w/ the ampand dont forget the little light in the travel pack.

1600 miles on my 07 SERK...

Cruise quit and the led gas gauge stopped working.

NO motor problems though.

Dan,
It's not just the anniversary models. I've got an SEUC in Copper Canyon on order that was due to be shipped on 8/6 and it's still not in. I was told that it is supposed to ship either today or tomorrow. I also heard that it is not unique to the SE models. Something with all the '08 touring models.

I have had the leak since 1K. Gasket replaced once, rear cylinder replaced once.I have a 5 yr warrenty, I'm waiting till they come out with a fix till I take it back again. I installed an oil cooler (no heat issue if your moving). I then raised my tank two inches, (no more overheating issues at all). When riding hard, bike now stays 20 degrees cooler than wifes "96CI" fatboy.

I have 1600 miles on mine (RK) without any problem. I hear first gear whine but not 5th - maybe I don't hear too well with the wind noise. This is my first new HD and I tried to break it in right and after 500 miles have not accelerated at less than 2500 rpm and never use 6th at less than 70 mph. I love the look and feel of the bike but wish it sounded a bit more like a Harley - it's pretty tame sound-wise. I think I will have to get a big windshield for riding over 60 mph - any suggestions?

I have heard from many owners that they have had no issues with their 07 CUSE's but most were lower mileage and possibly ridden in cooler climates. I purchased my 07 CUSE in the south where temps are steamy. I thought I had dodged all of the possible problems other than heat. I had no problems at all until about 8000 miles. I headed out west and the first day that temps went into the triple digits I stopped for a cold one and went back out to the bike to notice a small drop of oil on the transmission cover, Leak was coming from rear cylinder gasket, hmmmm. I have always had a bad whine from the primary which I beleive is the chain tensioner being to tight but I lived with it as I bought the 7 yr ext warranty. After returning from a 6200 mile cross country trip, the bike had started to use some oil and the valve springs sounded as though they were beating the rocker cover. Primary now has a bad rattle at about 2400-2500 rpm. Now if there is anyone out there in any forum that is happy with the fact that they paid 33K+ for anything and have already had major problems then something is wrong. Beleive it or not, the motor is still strong, just got to crank the radio up. My 03 FLHTC was a gem. I made a cross country trip on it last year, never used a drop of oil, no noises, got home, washed it, changed all fluids and I never knew it had been on a trip. SWEET 48000 miles and not a single time in the shop I am heartbroken over the 07. But in retrospect I would love to have a new engine with problems fixed. The 07 CUSE is an amazing scoot. It handles great and has more ***** than any other stock Ultra. I definitely do not want to get rid of it but I do feel as though I and many others have been taken advantage of severely. RECALL the motors and satisfy the customer..........

HD takes care of the CVO better than others, just look atthe changes made for these already. Some gaskets for example on there 2nd try. They will get it right but its going to be a headache for you till then. The crank brg was redesigned part way thru the 07 run,not sure how thats working? They are fixing your bikes under warranty w/o much grief from what Ive read, not denying a problem. When this stops is when you have to step up.Sure noone likes to take a new bike in constantly for work esp for the same thing but these bikes had major changes and some things are going to show a weakness elsewhere.Your posts are being read by others than average owners, but you will need to go beyond the chat sites for best results when reaching your ends.

I know this may make me look stupid but I just ordered the 2008 FXSTSSE2 & after reading alot on here overheating on the 110"s seems to be a main issue & I keep seeing that adding a SERT reduces the heat but to be honest i dont know what a SERT is can someone please tell me I just want to get whats best for my bike so I have the least amount of problems.
