i had the Boom GT on my '17....very solid head unit, but slooooooow

this boots up so much quicker, and if i get rolling before i get the music sorted out, it's pretty simple to get it connected while on the go

Well, I think the update may have impacted the way I did it. When I put the bike away for winter the method I described worked fine. Only change to the bike since then was the radio update from a few weeks ago. I put new speakers in the rears today and started the bike up to test them out. Tried my method and now no bueno. Not sure why a radio update would impact that, but it definitely did not work today and I tried it a few times. Back to the drawing board I guess.

Looks like the best way is just to drop the kickstand and let the bike shut off. You cant do this for too long though, since all of the lights will still be on as well.
