Default 2024 cvo

Has anyone gone from a built motor to one of the new CVO’s and felt the power was there. I’m doing more long trips now and thinking about buying a new CVO and doing just a stage 1 type set up to keep it reliable. I’m currently running a 128 and have a lot of valve noise that’s making me question it. I really like the look up the CVO ST but do most of my riding 2 up.

My 18 CVO RG with a S&S 128 was a fairly mild build. Some light head work and a cam with D&D exhaust ran 130 hp and 140 tq. No driveability issues around town but plenty of power when you grab a handful. The 121 VVT in my 23.5 is enough to keep you on your toes in sport mode when you twist it. Not quite the 128 but still fun. I'll add an exhaust and air cleaner but not planning on a cam or any head work at this point.

How is the heat? I’m hoping with the new twin cool design the rear cylinder runs a lot cooler.

Seems To run a lot cooler with the liquid cooled heads it also has a fan that helps alot I noticed on hot days fan runs for a few when you shut off bike to cool it down seems to be a much needed improvement.

might want to wait for a possible mid-year release or Sturgis or the Milwaukee Anniversary for Limited or Ultra models' announcement...seems hard to fathom them kicking theoe to the curb for good, but if they don't introduce them at least by the January 2025 MY release then that would be a strong indicator those are gone for good

The only other thing I am changing is getting rid of that trailer looking tail light license plate an putting on the custom dynamics license plate frame an mount it was on back order will be here tomorrow the Chrome Werx Smoked Chrome Slip Ons match the stock head pipe good an I had a Back Rest from my RGS.The Stock handle Bars are very comfortable much better than previous RGS I had Yaffe Monkey Bars on last 2 But the handlebars sucked on the previous RGS Going to keep the Stock ones on this one.The Rockford Fosgate Stereo sounds very good The first Harley I had thats Very good left alone the only thing I can complain about is I wish they left the Stereo Controlls On the left side, they are on the right now you have to take hand of throttle to adjust at least I do,Besides that First CVO I have Owned So much more options That I would want to add that are already on it An the Inverted Forks an Brembo brakes with the 121 VVT are Iceing on the cake!

For information's sake, I had a 114" 2020 with full exhaust, and a cam, and it was within a couple HP on the dyno of my 121 with basically nothing. I really don't notice any difference in power, and don't feel the need to increase the power on this 121 VVT. (FINALLY!!) It will get to the speed limiter quick, especially passing semi's from an 80 MPH start.

I went from a very built 2019 CVO Road Glide to the 23.5 CVO Road glide. The 2019 was 163 HP and 167 Torque, had 65K on the bike and 40 K on built motor. There are times I miss the huge torque everywhere. However the 121 VVT has very good power for stock. The 23.5 handles better and has better suspension. I do not regret trading.

I appreciate y'all posting this info. I'm going to buy a CVO RG but I'm waiting. I never buy the first year model of anything (new features), and I don't like any of this year's colors. So I think 2025 will be my year.
