Default Poison Berry CVO

One of the dealerships we trade with called yesterday to invite us up for the chili cook off, to remind us we have $90.00 in points to use before the end of the month, and to also tell us they have something in the back they knew the Carolina Girl was really wanting to see in person.

Much to our surprise the Carolina Girl also won a drawing and selected a small bag she had been wanting.

Then Micah came and grabbed us to head to the back. We had the Carolina Girl close her eyes. I think she knew, but she was really surprised. I watched her reaction and she really liked this bike.

She looked at me and asked what I thought. I agreed it is a pretty color. They already have a deposit on this one and had just ceramic coated it. They have another one just like it on the way.

The next question she asked to me is which bike I would consider trading for it. The SGS is out because we simply have too many accessories on it and I not going to lose a ton of money. We only owe $7k on it and I looking for that title!

I asked what they thought our CVO RG was worth on trade and it was a fair number. It would have given us $21k equity which would go a long way. I told them we'll think about it.

On the way home she asked me what I really thought. I like the color, but do not feel I could live with it long term. I loved the tank badge most about the bike. She knows I hate the rear end on them. I reminded her that we would have to get a two up touring seat, $1k, a matching tour pack, probably $2k at least from HD, docking hardware and windshield. I would most likely change the handle bars also. Then lastly after riding Pro-Action and Ohlins for 8 years I know I would not be happy with the stock suspension. Now you are at $60k with tax and tags and $21k just does not go far enough.

I am out!!!!!

HD has helped me love what I own now much more than ever before. Thank you!

It's gorgeous, but not for me. I put on too many miles and within a couple years it wouldn't look so good.

On the way home she asked me what I really thought.
That's code for "I sure wish you'd buy it!".

Yeah, me too. Our Snake Venon SGS is green, then in the sun it turns purple. I would like to see the transformation on this one for sure.

I was going to retire at the end of March. I’ve decided to hang in there one more year. At our ages with two nice bikes we will not be trading. Definitely not reaching into savings for a bike and not financing either. Sorry to hear you let you SG go. I understand.

Same boat as you cosmic, retiring April1st. Using some pto, so literally less than 3 weeks of work! I spent money on my 2022 cvo so I could keep it for another 3 or 4 years. If you really like the purple bike, wait a year and very low mileage used ones will start popping up on the market. I was thinking back on the 10 cvo’s I’ve owned since 2004 and I bought more used than new, always with less than 2500 miles and usually with a 40% discount off brand new msrp.

I have seen a few of these on dealer floors and while its a nice paint job, no way I could buy a purple bike. I know there are folks who love purple so I am sure they will sell.

It was the first one we have seen. The color everyone is talking about right! I like it, but have no intentions of trading either bike we have.

This bike was already sold before it ever arrived. There is always an early rush for the newest. Kind of like the orange CVO. Everyone wanted one and now every dealership as two of them left over.

According to Crossroads business has been good for them. There was a lot of excitement there Saturday. They have increased their staff and they were working on deals.
