I asked this over at the general suspension area but didn't exactly get what I was thinking. My left shock is stupid how tight it is and I can't get it to move to increase the preload. The previous owner has it slammed down. I know they make a spanner but isn't that more for the standard shocks on most models. Can you use them on the shock on the DWG3 models? I'd had to scratch them. Also, any way to adjust the valving once you get the preload adjusted?

They are hand adjustable but I absolutly can not get it to move. I even put a little bit of WD-40 on the threads to let it setsome and hopefully loosen it up.I read some where that somebody used a strap wrench so thinking about trying that. Maybe sense they are FOX shocks I can find something specifically for them.

Ended up buying a set of $10 strap wrenches at Advance Auto Parts. Took a couple of time but that shock finally broke loose. Even then it took a couple of turns moving it down with the wrench to get it free enough to be able to move it by hand.
Now on to the brakes!....
