I bought a 2002 fxdwg3 and it seems that nobody can tell me solid production numbers. I know that there are blue and black versions, but how many of each? Other than paint and chrome are there any other differences? Thanks, Mark
I found this poking around some. It was buried on this site some where but it said offically it was approx 1950 produced half black and half blue. I've got a 2002 FXDWG3 Black myself. I asked once before about tracing serial numbers but nobody had any info.
Thank you for the info....I have the black version and love everything about it. I would like to find any extras that could be bought only for the fxdwg3. I am also missing the fairing that goes on the headlight if anyone knows where one is for sale.
I just saw a Black 02 FXDWG3 for sale on e-bay with 1600 miles on it; the guy is asking 28,800. Looks like the motor was hopped up and has never seen rain. Anyways, I would check e-bay and Craigs List for the headlight fairing. I think you may also be able to go to your local Harley dealer with proof of ownership (VIN) and order one.
Harley has a link on their website where you can enter in your VIN and it will tell you what outstanding recall work there may be on your bike. It does not give you detailed info, which stinks.
