Center Stand
Has anyone installed a center stand on their Ultra's? I am so tired of having to stoop down so low on the left side to clean, inspect, etc. Having a center stand would make things so easy in the garage, for cleaning, inspecting, and just parking the car next to the bike and being able to get out of the passenger door without endangering the bike. What about at service station parking next to the pump...parking straight up would be great.
I understand Harley has one, and I know I have seen or heard of some others..but just not sure of how they work and if they are worth the money for one?
How about it...any experience? Is it easy to "get it up"...pardon the pun....I know it would be easy to get off the stand. Also, I have the HD lowering shocks on the rear..so would that make a difference when installing?
Any help or advise is appreciated.
Thanks, in advance.

I just put one on my SEUC and it is great. Got it from wheeldock.com its called the EZup center stand and cost $289 (chrome version). If you go to their website they have different models to choose from for lowered front or rear or both. 5 minute install. Watch the videos on the site to see how easy to use. I have some pics but photo size is too large for forum. If you want pm your email and I'll send to you.

Thanks for the reply. If you would not mind the pics send them to wmdb2@sbcglobal.net
Regarding the stand...exactly how do you get it to work...do you just push it down to the ground, and then rock the bike backwards???? Ultra is plenty heavy...is it really that easy?
This seems like the most logical way to resolve the spacing and cleaning issue on the bike.
Thanks for your input.

You just take your left heel and push down until the stand touches the ground, then transfer all of your weight to the left foot, as long as you are on level groundor facing uphill, the bike will roll right onto stand. Just be sure to be in neutral or clutch in and no front brake. The first couple times I was nervous when transferring weight and I would rock back a little. Now its just as easy as using the kickstand. I'm 190lbs and do not need to rock the bike at all to set it on stand. When its on the stand it is rock solid, my wife can get on bike and get situated before me and all you have to do is put it in gear and drive forward to take it off the stand. The only time I don't use it is on gravel or dirt driveways, then I put a puck under my regular jiffy stand. I'll send pics in a few.
