All I did was switch to thicker gloves, put on an HD knit cap, and zipped the jacket up as far as it would go. That got me all the way through til it snowed.

My hands are where I have the problem, I don't want to give up my ISO grips for heated, and don't like riding with bulky thick gauntlets.
check out the gerbing G3 gloves. i can even operate my radio preset buttons on the electra radio.
Well a young blond usually works unless Momma is around......
If it is seriously cold I have a set of thermal construction overalls, waterproof boots, and a full face helmet. Just add some nice heavy leather gauntlets and I am ready to ride.
Years ago, I bought a set of insulated overalls from Sam's. They had zip up legs, arms and zipped up in the front. I would wear them over my regular clothes.
I also got some glove inserts used for snow skiing. They were thin and almost metallic. No problems keeping my hands warm with them under my regular gloves. Also wore insulated socks over my regular socks.
I wore a ski mask under my FF helmet.
When I got to work, it only took a few minutes to shed all the cold weather gear.

Full face flip up, HD bottom long Johns, next heated chaps, HD heated vest, no leather chaps, they are a pain in the butt & take up too much room when not in use. Have rode the last 125K with no problem.

headed out now..
wouldn't do it without the Gerbings!
I did 200 miles yesterday, and was pretty damn comfortable. I will use a wind barrier over the liner today though.
I want to buy a Gerbing Jacket liner before Daytona but for now, I'm good down to the high 30's with Damart insulated underwear, a heavy flannel shirt, thinsulate gloves and my leathers. I wouldn't be able to do that without a windshield, a heated seat and grips though.
I'm itching for a ride but we've been getting snow almost every day and there's a bunch of anti-skid (shale) and salt on the road. I won't even take the bike off my driveway without a trailer.
