Default Screaming eagle programmers

I just bought a 2011cvo street glide Ive put Rhinehart exhaust system on it the dealer said i would have to have a super tuner put on it .I take the bike in to the dealer they remap the bike and dyno it I get home and I look at the old part and its a screaming eagle programmer why could they not remap the factory tuner instead of having to buy a new one I could understand if it was a regular street glide

What old part are you talking about? The SE Super tuner comes with a module that attaches to your bike to connect to the ECM to re-program it. There is nothing left on the bike when you are done. The module is now "married" to your bike and you must use that one every time you program it. It will only work on your bike. Unless I don't understand what you mean??

Yes it sounds like you are looking at the tuning interface for your ECM no parts were changed all you bought as an interface to program your bike with.

That ain't the "old" part.

That is the "key" needed for any future changes that you ever will want to make. Don't lose it!

They did reprogram your ECM (with that "old" part).

It is not fun to learn that you paid $$$ for an interface converter, ECM code changes and a little Dyno time. Hopefully you had a very good and experienced "Tuner" at the dealer performing the work.

PS - don't lose that "key"(interface converter).
