Default Screamin Eagle Street Performance Tuner

I am thinking about ditching the VIEDS and getting a Screamin Eagle Street Performance Tuner. I've done quite a bit of research and seems most of the threads are older or contain some misinformation. The biggest seems to be that it only allows EPA complaint tunes where on the MOCO website it states
"Note
Street Tuner permits limited tunability within the emissions range to optimize drivability without compromising emission levels. It also features expanded tuning options outside the emissions range to optimize performance."

This leads me to believe you can tune outside of the EPA limitation. Does anyone know if there is any truth to that? I'm a fan of instant gratification so like the fact I can pick it up from the dealer and not have to wait a week for it to arrive.

From everything I've been told, from experienced tuners, you're wasting your money with a street tuner. You can look at things, but you can't change much at all, outside of EPA-compliance.

Buy the SE Pro Super Tuner.

That seems to be the general consensus from everyone. I'm torn between it and the FP3 but for some reason the idea of it being connected via Bluetooth on my phone turns me off to it. Part of me wants to buy the SEPST just to see first hand what it's capable of it but don't want to waste $300 if it's all but useless.

It's the opposite of useless. It allows you to do pretty much anything you want.

Sorry was referring to the Screamin Eagle Street Performance Tuner being useless outside of EPA confinements.

What's this dealer download they speak of for your pipes and high flow filter. The dealer wants $150 plus half hour labor.

Nearest dealer said $250 and second closest said $169 plus half an hour of labor for a total of $219 for the Stage 1 download. If I'm spending that much on a single download it's a no brainer to spend $300 for the tuner that can be used indefinitely in the future, IMHO.

Oh, well then, that's pretty much correct.

I guess I was being wishful in regards to what they posted in the product description about tuning outside of EPA compliance.

Does anyone know if the Street Tuner has any canned maps?

Sorry for all of the questions but want an idea of what I might be getting myself into.
