I have a 09 Street Glide - after seeing the 2011 Screaming Eagle low profile fuel tank console I've decided I can't live without it. Anybody got any ideas. Will I have to end up buying new tank and will it fit. Can't find anything for 08 and up after market - 6 gallon tank may be the reason. Found nice ones for earlier years. Thanks for any help or suggestions
There are many aftermarket companies that make low profile tank consoles for your bike. The part for the 2011 will not fit your bike since your bike has the filler in the center and the 11 SESG has the filler on the right side and a gauge on the left side like the road kings.

"There are many aftermarket companies that make low profile tank consoles for your bike." I would have thought so but I haven't found one for a 09. It must be one of the best kept secrets in town if they do. I've searched all I know. I'm open for suggestions of places to try that I haven't yet.
Not being able to find one is why I considered replacing tank. I know and understand everything you said about the 11 tank. I was wondering if anyone knew if the tank off a 2011 SESG will fit mine.
