Just bought my 11 CVO Ultra for about $3,000 off MSRP. You just have to shop around. No issues with the 110 that I'm aware of. It has LOTS of torque, especially compared to the 88 in my 03 Ultra.

Do the dealers take a down payment to secure the order? I have heard some folks say the 110 engine has cam issues so are there any engine issues? I'd love to wait till early next year to get one but I fear I may have to act soon. Just hate to have a bike sit over winter while the warranty is running.
You probably don't have to rush as much as they want you to believe however, if a dealer close to you has what you want and the price is right seal the deal. If you don't mind the idea of possibly having to travel a ways to get one later, maybe even a different state then you have time. As others have said, the prices can fluctuate greatly from area to area so be careful.

The cams? Not sure what you heard? Mine were fine, but I replaced them pretty quick. Engine noise in a 110" is inevitable. Is it obnoxious, I don't think so, but certainly more than a 96" Some of the issues that plagued the 110's of past, have been addressed. Can you still have issues? Sure, but so can the 96 and 103. Good luck. If you get a CVO, you will never go back

Like many have said....it depends on your area and dealers. My local dealer want 2K over MSRP when I bought a few years ago and I went 45 min away and paid MSRP walking in off the street. For my '11 I paid just under MSRP, but that was a dealer that would rather sell 10 bikes and make $500 each instead of 2 bikes and make $2500 each (don't know the exact profit, but just used that as an example--you get the idea) Look around..if you find one local at MSRP and love the bike--Buy it.....

What everyone else has said. Shop it and maybe get lucky. Don't be embarassed if you do pay MSRP and stay away from Washington D.C. area, as an example.

A dealer there offered a dealer here in NC full MSRP so he could resell in D.C. for $4,000 over! Apparently couldn't keep them in stock up there.

Color has alot to do with it too. There are hot colors and not so hot. The hot ones presell, the less popular sit for awhile.

Default Why pay MSRP??

I just bought an 08 CVO Ultra. it had 20K on the odometer, and had been dropped. The faring is scratched up a bit, needs $300 in chrome bits replaced due to scratches. I paid $19K under MSRP (for 08) and got a $300 gift certificate to buy the chrome with!!! I'll spend another $500 getting the fairing painted and I'm golden!

What I did was went to Mother HD's website. Clicked on the dealer locator, and started searching the used bike inventory at the nearest dealer, then the next one, then the next one, etc. I wound up traveling just an hour away to get the most beautiful bike they ever made (IMHO).

Buy used and let someone else take the hit on the depreciation.

New Symrna HD has a CVO 11 Ultra with blue flames sitting on the floor.
They typically (they are part of the Rossmeyer group still) charge over MSRP

You could make them an offer but I was talking with one of the sales guys
and he said it was fine with them if it sat until Oct for Biketoberfest, someone
will buy it at full price easy (full price being over)

Right now it's hard to get the newer CVO's as one line is wrapped up (11) and
the 12's are getting out there.

You have to wait a few months for some to get into the pipeline...

Default Toughts on 2009 CVO Roadglide

Any thoughts or comments on a 2009 CVO road glide?

I heard they were a rough ride.
Any other issues?\

Thanks

Bill

My 2009 CVO RG SE is a superb ride, thought the stock shocks just plain suck (12" air shocks vs 13" on the Electra & Ultras ...), I replaced them with Ohlin's and now the ride is 5 star,

Just love this bike ...

MSRP is fair on any CVO. Many dealers will sell @ MSRP, but most have a deposit on them by the time they show up. If you want one, order it NOW.
