I have a '12 softtail convertible, has anyone seen or know if anyone makes a cover or cap for over the pegs on the struts that the saddlebags mount to ? i think it looks hidious with the bags off and those "stacked washer" pegs sticking out . something that slips over and hides those pegs when the bags are off. thanks in advance for and replies or suggestions.
Take a piece of solid aluminum. It will need to be a little larger in diameter than the mounting brackets and a little deeper, machine them round on the outside or whatever you like. Then machine out the insides so they will slide over the brackets. In order for them to hold you can thread a small set screw that will hold onto one of the grooves on the mounting brackets. Place screw on the bottom to hide.
Polish'em up, groov'em up, whatever your taste! Looks great!
