Pulled the trigger
Instead we went to the John Staluppi Auction. I don't know how many of you are familiar with his collection, but lets just say it was amazing, I think the 117 cars sold for around $11,500,000.00. Wow! The highlight for us was a 2005 VRod that sold for 51,700.00, this was Evel Knievel's screaming eagle.
So after a weekend of rubbing shoulders with some very wealthy collectors (Leno was there), came back home with hundreds of photo's and a desire to upgrade.
So there I was again, back at the Harley dealership (Spacecoast), and my favorite salesman came up and told he just got a Tribal Orange CVO'S in off the truck. But I held firm, told him I needed to see it in the sun before I would commit to trading in my 6 month old Limited.
Off I went, back home to ponder this purchase and telling myself all night, that I was not going to buy... Yeah right...
Next day in the sun.... And my only question was "Where do I sign?"
I only needed three changes:
1. Swap out my backrest from the Limited to the new bike (I really like the hydraulic back support).
2. Ordered replacement hinges for the tour pack.
3. Replaced the 10 inch windshield with a 12.
I can't think of anything else that needs to be done, what a beautiful color scheme, the striping is dead on...
I am one happy camper, now all I want to do is ride, glad I live in Florida, heading to Miami tomorrow...
It sure seems like FLHTK is the spring board for the CVO Ulra. I traded in my 2011 FLHTK for my 2012 CVO Ultra and couldn't be happier! Enjoy, & post some pics when you get a rest from riding!
P.S. I did the hinges soon as I got home. They look a lot better!
Congrats!!!!!
